Help - Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions players ask most about Ratz-GG - what it is, who writes it, how the guides are kept accurate, and how to get involved. We've grouped the practical things (free? which games? where do I start?) alongside the trust questions (who runs this? is it safe? how is my data handled?). If something isn't covered here, learn more about us or reach out through our contact page.
Is Ratz-GG free to use?
Yes. Every guide on the site is free to read, with no paywall, no sign-up wall, and no per-article gate. Our on-site tools are free as well: the WWM Ping Checker measures your latency, jitter, and packet loss to the game servers, and the Color Generator builds the color codes for chat and signature text in Where Winds Meet. An optional Premium membership unlocks a few desktop-app extras and helps cover our hosting and advertising costs, but it is never required to use the guides or tools.
Which games does Ratz-GG cover?
We focus on two action games: Where Winds Meet, an open-world wuxia action-RPG, and Naraka: Bladepoint, a melee-focused battle royale. Both reward timing, movement, and mechanical execution, so our guides dig into combat windows, parries, stamina, and progression rather than surface-level tips.
Who writes the guides, and how are they kept accurate?
The guides are written by the community behind Ratz-GG - players who actively grind both games and test mechanics in-game rather than copying patch notes. Damage numbers, stagger behavior, and the combat triangle come from hands-on testing, and every guide is checked against the live patch. When a game changes, we revisit the affected guides and update them. You can read more about our process on the About page.
How many guides are there, and where do I start?
There are 18 in-depth guides across both games, ranging from beginner walkthroughs to deep mechanics breakdowns such as damage formulas and skill priority. New players should start with the Where Winds Meet beginner guide or the Naraka: Bladepoint beginner guide, then move on to combat and movement once the basics click. You can browse the full library, sorted by game and topic, on the Guides page.
Do you run tournaments?
Yes. We host community-run tournaments with open sign-ups, bracket seeding, and live scoring, organized so casual players and competitors can both find a fair lobby. You can register and follow brackets on our Tournaments site, and announcements go out in our Discord.
Is the anti-cheat / launcher safe to use?
Our desktop launcher and anti-cheat tooling are built for our own community tournaments and are entirely optional - none of the website's guides or tools require any download. The launcher is distributed from our official GitHub releases so you can verify the source. It does not modify game files; it links your account for tournament verification and overlays. If you only want to read guides or use the web tools, you never need to install anything.
Is Ratz-GG affiliated with the game developers?
No. Ratz-GG is an independent, fan-made project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the publishers of Where Winds Meet or Naraka: Bladepoint. All game names, logos, and assets belong to their respective owners.
What is Premium?
Premium is an optional membership that bundles a few desktop-app extras - such as Launcher Optimizer Pro and expanded GvG tracker features - plus early access to new tools. It is billed monthly or as a one-time lifetime key through Stripe. The core of Ratz-GG, including every guide and both web tools, stays free whether or not you ever subscribe.
How is my data and privacy handled?
We keep data collection minimal: the guides and web tools work without an account. We use Google AdSense and standard analytics, which set cookies, and we display third-party advertising. Full details on what is collected, why, and how to opt out are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I report an error in a guide?
We want corrections - they keep the guides trustworthy. If you spot a wrong number, an outdated mechanic, or a broken link, tell us through the contact page or email contact@ratz-gg.net. Point to the specific guide and section and we'll verify it against the current patch.
Can I contribute or get involved?
Absolutely. The easiest way in is our Discord, where players share findings, test mechanics, and help shape what we cover next. Whether you want to suggest a guide topic, flag a change after a patch, or just find teammates, that's the place to start.
